Typewrite

Typewrite is one of the earliest programming projects I released publicly, at least as a final product. It’s a distraction free writing app for iOS and MacOS with a minimal aesthetic and optional fun typewriter sounds when you write. It’s still live on the app store for $1.99, and though I use it myself and it works quite well (only four crashes across hundreds of users!), I wouldn’t recommend buying it as I have no plans to update it anytime soon. This version of the app is actually the second iteration of Typewrite since I first created it back in highschool. Unfortunately, I managed to switch developer accounts and lose the code around the same time, so this new version had to be remade from scratch. It turned out this was for the best since it now gets all the modern benefits of using SwiftUI instead of UIKit like the old one, plus it was a good learning experience. Sadly, history repeated itself and when I fried my computer last year the new version was lost as well. All that to say, if I ever move back in to the minimalist text-editor space, it’ll probably be with a new app :)
